In 1991 Calvos de Randín had a population of 2.044 inhabitants, distributed in nine parishes (Calvos, Castelaus, Feás, Golpellás, Lobás, Randín, Rioseco, Rubiás dos Mistos and Vila).

In 2008 the population had been reduced to 1.102 inhabitants in an area of 97,97 km2. According to these data, there is a low population density, only 11,25 inhabitants per km, in relation to the Galician average and even the provincial one.
