Red Natura 2000 in Galicia comprises fourteen Special Protection Areas for Birds (ZEPA) and 59 spaces included in the proposal of Sites of Community Importance (SCI), 55 of which are included in the list of Sites of Community Importance of the Atlantic biogreographic region approved by the decision of the Commission on 7th December 2004 (DOCE L387, 29/12/2004).
